  • Recognition and management of anaphylaxis and allergic reactions

  • Recognition and management of poisoning and overdose
  • Burn treatment, including electrical and chemical burns
  • Seizure and febrile convulsion management
  • Head injury and concussion management
  • Management of spinal injuries
  • Recognition and management of meningitis and other serious infections
  • Treatment of fractures and broken bones
  • Croup and pneumonia management
  • Dehydration and gastroenteritis management
  • Recognition and management of bites and stings

Additionally, the course covers basic first aid protocols, such as scene assessment, prioritising care, and communicating effectively with emergency services.

Exams and Assessment

Throughout the course, participants will be assessed by the trainer to ensure all learning outcomes are met. Upon successful completion, learners will receive an FAIB-accredited emergency first aid qualification.

Participants must be 16 years or older to enrol in this course.
